It struck. This week the slight cough Sofia has had for the last week smacked me upside the head and left me for dead. Charlie gloated a wee bit about not being sick and then got hit too. CJ has a runny nose and that is about it. What I cannot understand is how sick children can still get up at the crack of dawn and demand breakfast–it just doesn’t seem right.
In addition to cold and flu season, it is apparently also Christmas season. 104.5 (The River) has started playing all Christmas music, and the stores are chock full of fake trees, and cheap decorations from China. All this holiday cheer makes me feel like I’m behind schedule and everytime I hear bells jingle I get a bit panicky.
School will be out for me the first week of December, but the kids are still in school until the 18th, so I’ll have a little bit of time to try to catch up. I’ve been feeling a little homesick lately, which I blame on the cold, rainy weather.
I’ll post a few pictures of the kids to flickr in the next few days. I miss you all!

I understand completely about the stinking cold/flu. I have the never ending cough. And yes, it is wrong that sick kids can still get up at the crack of dawn. Kind of related, but not really, T still has throwing up issues (We’ve had talks with the doctor). Now, if she tells me her stomach hurts I hand her a plastic grocery bag and a glass of ginger ail. Gotta love it:). And I understand about the christmas music. Isn’t the rule “No Christmas music until after thanksgiving–no matter how late in the month it is?” I’m sure that’s the rule.
